Yogi Desai designed Amrit Yoga to reveal the inner spiritual depth of yoga that is so often lacking in modern yoga classes.

The Level 1 practice, known as Posture of Consciousness, combines familiar yoga poses with inward focus and meditative awareness.  This experience merges the physical benefits of Hatha Yoga and the meditative depths of Raja Yoga.  The Posture of Consciousness relies on a set script and is ideal for both beginning yogis and those with years of experience.  The practical effect of this practice breaks your reactive habits.

Amrit Yoga Nidra is designed as more than a relaxation technique.  It’s a meditation technique that not only relaxes the body, but creates a different relationship with stress producing thoughts and emotions.  It’s designed to guide the practitioner to recognize the silent place of being that always resides within us.  The Amrit Method focuses on quieting the mind and boosting the energy flow in the body (prana).  This released energy in the body increases the healing potential available during meditation and takes practitioners into deep states of meditation more quickly.  The practical effect of this practice trains the mind to rest and be still.

The Level 2 practice, known as Meditation in Motion, is a natural evolution for dedicated practitioners who have experienced profound shifts in life and are ready for new depths.  While the Posture of Consciousness relies on a set script, Meditation in Motion refines a student’s ability to feel the movement of energy in the body.  This releases long held tensions and emotional leftovers.  The practical effect of this practice allows one to move with life rather than having to fight against it.

Bhakti House Teaching Staff
As a member of the Bhakti House teaching staff, you will have the option of teaching classes at Bhakti House or of having your classes (regardless of where you teach) advertised on the Bhakti House website.  You will also be eligible to assist in future apprenticeship trainings, programs, retreats and workshops.

Certification, RYT-500
Your certification is recognized by the Amrit Yoga Institute and also makes you eligible to register with Yoga Alliance at the RYT-500 level.

Advanced Training
Because your certification is recognized by the Amrit Yoga Institute (AYI), you are eligible to register for Advanced Yoga Nidra and Yoga Therapy training at AYI.
